My dad's side of the family seriously sucks.They are all a bunch of backstabbers and phonys or flakier then a box of pastrys, my brother made plans with my Uncle to go to Vegas for his 21'st birthday this month.So he booked the trip online, got excellent rates for them both and everything.So my Uncle calls my brother up Monday and says "Oh I ca'nt go after all, I ca'nt bet the time off work" Bullshit !!!!!!!!!!! He has been at that job for years, wow why not just say something back in August then instead of stringing him along ?, my Uncle has always been like that, you make plans with him and he cancels on you or just does'nt show up if you are supposed to meet him, anyhow so when I go into work tommorow I'm going to boldly ask for the 25'th through the 30'th off work for this month, my brother is upset and asked me if I could go in place of my Uncle, I'll try my best, Greg might be extremely cool and approve that week off but if he ca'nt I'll understand, wish me luck, by the way for those of you watching CSI tommorow night , do'nt forget it's a two hour episode, the crossover with Without A Trace, sure to be awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good Luck Lisa! I hope you get the time off so you can go with your brother! As for your uncle? I would just stop inviting him places.....ESPECIALLY if it was going to cost me money! :/

That's awful I would be POed too. Hope you get that time off Lisa so you can go with your brother. That would be a great trip for the two of you. Forget about the rest of the family they don't seem worth it.

You shouldn't be so upset at your Uncle. You guys know going in how he is and if you get your hopes up too much you are bound for a fall. Don't allow him to do that to you guys again. Just don't make plans that you can't back out of anymore. Anyway, have a good Thursday.

I don't understand why the male members in your family seem to want to let people down all the time. I wouldn't let them do that to me. Obviously the plans that were made weren't to his liking. Try not to let your Uncle get you down. Realize before you make plans or your brother makes plans, that this is always going to be a possibility. That way you won't be let down too much. Luv ya Lisa.

Ugh, you can pick your friends but not your family. I always have issues with my brother and my mother can't see him for who he is. HUGS Chris
