Hi friends, I stopped by work today and my co-worker Leslie was really happy to see me , she was like " OMG everyone has been asking where you are , where's Lisa" I laughed until I mentioned Robert's name , he was one of my asst managers at the store and I had always thought he was cute and sweet.Leslie told me that last week Robert was fired or as she put it "Let go" I was like "What????????" At first she told me she was'nt allowed to tell me what happened which I respected, after all she was at the register ringing up customers and that would'nt have been the time to have a private discusssion.I saw my adorable Anthony and Mark and Lydia and Cheryl when I came in, I went into the office to sign for my paycheck and I felt Robert's presence everywhere in the office.It was sad and strange.
I saw Leslie again on the way out, and since nobody was around she told me what happened with Robert, ( This is when I am so grateful my journal is private) Leslie said that one night when Robert was closing a case of champagne vanished from the stock room worth $ 3000 -she said Robert was the only person who had the key to the stockroom where the champagne was locked up .I would never have expected Robert to do anything like this and I felt so sad hearing it and Leslie also said that one time before when Robert was at the store closing this happened before too.She said corporate called after the second incident and said Anthony would have to fire Robert.I was thinking how torn up inside and sad Anthony must have felt to have to fire Robert-Anthony is the kind of boss who is easy to sit down with and talk to, I go to him for advice alot and he always knows just what to say to make me feel better.Anthony is a sensitive person and I think it must have hurt him when he found out what Robert did, to find out that someone , one of your employees is'nt who you think they are I imagine can be devastating.I am very sad about Robert.And Leslie my best girlfriend at work told me that the tendon in her hand was damaged probably forever today and she would be leaving in the summer.Oh God no :( I am slowly grasping the fact the Robert is longer with us at World Market but Leslie leaving too ???????? Today has been a sad day :(

is Robert the one getting a divorce? He may have stolen the wine to pay for child support or money for the ex or a lawyer....i am so sorry this has happened. I know how much it upsets you!!!

You see what happens when you take too much time off of work, the place falls apart. I can't understand why people think that a small amount like $3000 will make a big difference in their lives where they risk everything for it. Anyway, have a good Saturday Lisa.

Most times, it's the ones you least expect to do something dishonest, who does it. Are they pressing charges against him? Hope not. Maybe he learned his lesson. Have a good week coming up.
