I hate San Mateo

Hi friends, just a warning , this is not going to be a happy entry.I do not like San Mateo.I am getting fed up with all the rude people who live around here, even most of my neighbors keep to themselves and are'nt too friendly. That is a big shock to me a girl who moved from a small town.I have stopped greeting the customers at work when they walk in because 9 out of 10 times they just ignore me and walk on by and then I ask myself "Why did I even bother?" Of course if they have a stupid question to ask me then they decide I am worthy of thier time. It's just so hurtful to not even be acknowledged.I am feeling really sad and lonely today, I have left two phonecalls for my friend Diane in Minnisota within two weeks and I have'nt heard anything back from her.I am worried about her.I wish she would call me back, I know she just had two losses in her family not too long ago but I just want to know if she is ok.Sigh ................... I really want to get out of this town, I am sick of crossing the street to the Marina Plaza when the light is green for me to cross and people not even bothering to stop to let me cross. There are too many rude AH's around here and I am sick of all of them.I wish I would have stayed in Pacifica and never moved here. Thanks for listening to this rant, Love You All Lisa XO

I have always lived in big cities, and when I had to move to a very small town I shocked that the people were even ruder then in the city. I was looked upon as an outside since my parents did not live there, I was not born there and I did not want to die there1 I guess there are rude people every place we go.

Can you move? If so, can you transfer at your job? It makes me sad to know you are sad and i want to come kick some ass and tell these people they are SO lucky to have you near them!

There are rude people everywhere these days and I really hate it. I'm sorry that your feeling sad right now. I've lived here in GA for almost 5  years and I've found that people here keep to themselves and it's hard to make friends. You would think living in the south it wouldn't be like that. In TX it was so much different and I miss that.

Hang in there!
Hugs and prayers,
Gretchen

HI Lisa,
I am sorry you are feeling that way.
But just think of the long drive you would have to work if you hadn't moved.
Many people are rude, I noticed when I started my job in NOV.  no one introduced me to anyone and many people when I would greet them with a "Hi There" would just ignore me, I mean come on, don't tell me that you couldn't here me...so I just blow it off and consider the source.  The thing is many are teachers which really makes me wonder...
We are off from school today the son and I am too.  Most schools were closed today in Detroit because it is so bitter cold.
Hope you are feeling better.
Love,
Donna

Lisa, I know that you feel this way. I am sorry that it hurts so much. It may be time for you figure out what YOU really want to do, and where you want to be. Staying at this job in a town you hate will dry you up, make you as miserable as the rude or disinterested people you have to see every day. I hope you will think about all everyone has said quite seriously, because you are worth it. Margo

Sounds like you were just having a bad day.  I'm sure there are some very nice people there.  Maybe a change of scenery, or a new place to live is something you need.  An;yway, hope you had a good Monday.  Take care.
